The Savage A Series Takedown is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR with a takedown design that allows the rifle to be separated into components for transport and storage.
The rifle features magazine storage in the buttstock and additional storage space in the pistol grip. The takedown mechanism operates through a twist-lock design.
The A-Series platform utilizes a delayed blowback action and includes a hard chrome bolt, case-hardened receiver, rotary magazine, and button-rifled barrel. It also features a user-adjustable AccuTrigger.
