Built as a successor to the FNS series of striker-fired pistols, the 509 is a modern striker-fired pistol designed for duty and defensive applications. The 509 features 3-dot luminescent sights and a polymer frame. Additional features include ambidextrous controls and interchangeable backstraps to accommodate different user preferences.
The Compact variant features a shorter grip and barrel length for easier concealment. The MRD series incorporates an optic-ready slide cut designed for use with compatible adapter plates and is paired with suppressor-height iron sights for optic co-witness capability.
This model features an FDE color pattern and does not include a manual safety. One 12-round flush-fit magazine and one 15-round extended magazine are included.
